Children's Cancer Institute

History

Children's Cancer Institute was established in May 1976 by a dedicated group of parents and doctors of children with cancer.

Today it is the only independent medical research institute in the country devoted to research into the causes, prevention and cure of childhood cancer. Throughout it's existence, the vision has remained unchanged.

Vision

Children's Cancer Institute Australia's vision is to save the lives of all children with cancer and eliminate their suffering.

Mission

  • To be a leader in preventing cancer and finding ways of curing cancer in children through world-class research.
  • To ensure the best possible quality of life for these children and their families.
  • To share the vision with others and increase awareness, participation and funding
