After having a personal experience with cancer I realized that if all the funds raised across the world quadrupled it still wouldn’t touch the sides of what is needed to find more solutions and save lives. Seeing firsthand the research and resources that go into one specific cancer was eye-opening, to say the least. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of cancers that exist out there so every dollar counts. Being by someone’s side through the process of illness and death is something you can’t explain. Watching a child go through this would be something else. If you are reading this, just put in a few bucks and the collective amount will extent and/or save the lives of some children. The Balmoral Swim is a “Swim for Cancer”. The Children’s Cancer Institute has been the beneficiary of funds raised since 2006. Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia dedicated to research into the causes, better treatment, prevention, and cure of childhood cancer.
