We will continue to monitor Health advice for changes to the swim to ensure participant and community safety.
Entry
This year only online entry is available and we will be capping participant numbers for the event.
All participants must provide a contact phone number when they register.
Please contact us if you have undertaken a COVID-19 test with a positive result within 14 days of the Balmoral swim and/or if you have undertaken a COVID-19 test and are awaiting your results. We will require proof of testing and/or results.
On the day
Procedures will be in place to allow physical distancing at check in and at the race start.
We ask that all swimmers follow any instructions from the COVID safety marshals on the day
Hand sanitiser will be available at event at various points for participants to use.
Please do not come to the event if :
- you are feeling unwell or have someone at home who is unwell
- have been in close contact with someone who is unwell or has visited a COVID-19 hotspot, or
- you have visited a COVID-19 hotspot and have not completed the required quarantine period
Start
Swimmers will be allocated to a wave and will be required to marshal in an area dedicated to that wave.
Please maintain physical distancing at all times.
Finish
Once you cross the finish line, we kindly ask that you leave the finish area as soon as possible and move off the beach.
Please refrain from giving high fives or hugs to others and maintain physical distancing at all times.
Please collect your personal belongings quickly and maintain social distancing.
Results and prizes
Results will be published on the website.
The presentation of a medal to all participants will occur immediately after the race.
Cancellation policy
In the case where Event has to be cancelled, entry fees for those swimmers who entered this year will credited to next years event. Any registrations carried over from previous years cancellations will not be credited to the next years event.
If the Events swimmer participation numbers need to be restricted due to changing COVID restrictions the competitors will be chosen on a first come first served basis. Entry fees will be credited to next years event for those who do not make the cut of swimmers participating.
Refunds or credits will not be made for any additional items purchased, such as event merchandise and charitable donations
